The action "Utilization of Business Experience - Business Restart" concerns the establishment of new businesses by unemployed people over the age of 45. In particular, the action provides a framework for new business opportunities to unemployed people who have previously been in business or have significant professional experience to do so in order to contribute to their reintegration into the labor market by leveraging the knowledge they possess.

Main objectives of the action

• The financing of modern business activities with clear orientations, which emerge and are harmonized by the priorities and strategic goals of EPANEK but also by general European and / or international developments for the target group "unemployed over 45 years with previous business / professional experience".

• The resurgence of business activity utilizing the entrepreneurial ability and skill of experienced business executives from industrial production and processing or other related sectors.

• The reduction of unemployment at the critical pre-retirement ages (45 years and over), which, however, have particularly high levels of accumulated work experience and know-how

Potential beneficiaries

The potential beneficiaries of the Action are unemployed registered in the OAED unemployed registers at the time of submission of the application and at the date of starting their business activity, who will establish a business (or will be a major shareholder of the company) and will not have an employment relationship. throughout the implementation of the business plan and which:

• previously participated in companies either as a freelancer or as founding members of companies or

• have at least 5 years of proven professional experience in relation to the object of the business plan they seek to implement

Budget

The indicative budget of the action amounts to 35,000,000 € (public expenditure). The total budget of the supported investment projects is estimated at € 54,000,000.
The proposed total amount of business plans per proposal will range from € 15,000 to € 60,000 . Aid rate on average 65% .
