1) Financial support for Research and Development (R&D) and innovation
Financial support in the form of grants is provided to companies and private research organizations carrying out research and development (R&D) projects and innovation initiatives. The aid may cover a percentage of eligible costs, depending on the size of the business and the type of project or initiative.
Financial support is available for companies and private research organizations based in Luxembourg in connection with the following activities:
process innovation, ie the implementation of a new or significantly improved production or distribution methods
organizational innovation in the service sector, ie the application of new organizational methods in business practices, in the workplace or in the external relations of the company,
experimental development, ie activities aimed at developing new, modified or improved products, processes, services, methods or systems (including prototyping);
industrial research, ie research aimed at acquiring new knowledge that has not yet been used on a commercial basis, with the aim of creating (possibly through further experimental development) new products, processes, services, methods or systems.
The amount of aid provided should be calculated on the basis of the eligible costs of the project or initiative, up to the following ceilings:
